ABOUT ME
Drawing inspiration from their background in science, activism, and personal lived experiences, Robin creates thought-provoking and immersive works that challenge traditional notions of fine art. Their large-scale sculptures and wearable artworks serve as catalysts for dialogue, inviting viewers to question societal norms and engage with the intersections of art, activism, and academia.
Through performative acts and sound-based installations, they explore the transformative potential of embodied experiences. By utilizing their body as a medium and employing sound as a means of communication, Robin seeks to amplify their message and provoke visceral responses in their audience. These performative and auditory elements further enrich the immersive nature of their installations, inviting viewers to engage with the work on multiple sensory levels.
At the core of Robin's artistic practice lies a commitment to community engagement. Through collaborative projects and participatory installations, they aim to blur the boundaries between artist and audience, creating spaces for shared experiences and collective growth. By fostering a sense of belonging and fostering meaningful connections, Robin seeks to bridge the gap between art and community. Their work inspires conversations, promotes positive social change, and encourages viewers to reflect on their own place within the broader ecological and social fabric.
In Robin's artistic vision, the convergence of sculpture, installation, performance, and sound art forms a cohesive whole that invites viewers to explore the intricate threads connecting the natural world, queer experiences, and the power of communal engagement. By challenging established narratives and embracing the transformative potential of art, Robin aims to contribute to a more inclusive, empathetic, and ecologically conscious society.
