ARTIST STATEMENT



I STRIVE TO FIND CONNECTIONS BETWEEN THE SELF AND ECOLOGY THROUGH MIXED MEDIA WORK, PERFORMANCE, SCULPTURE, AND PAINTING.

BODIES AS AN ABSTRACT FORM, BOTH HUMAN AND NON-HUMAN, INSPIRE THOUGHT ON MOVEMENT AS IDENTITY.

I DEVOTE MYSELF TO COMMUNITY BUILDING THROUGH ART. CREATIVITY IS FOUND THROUGH SHARED SPACE, FOOD, MOVEMENT, AND CONVERSATION.

I EXPLORE LOVE, COMPASSION, AND QUEERNESS.

I RESPECT OUR (HUMAN) POSITION LIVING ON A DYING PLANET. I DO MY BEST TO RESPECT AND RESPOND TO THE NATURAL WORLD AND RECOGNIZE MY UNNATURAL PLACE IN IT.

I WORK TOWARDS RADICAL OPENNESS AND HONESTY. MY PERSONAL LIFE IS NOT SEPARATE FROM MY ARTISTIC PRACTICE.


ABOUT ME



    Robin is a sculptor, installation artist, and performer hailing from Houston, Texas, and is currently based in Berlin, Germany. Their multidisciplinary practice encompasses sculpture, installation, performance, and sound art. With a deep-rooted focus on queer ecology and the dynamic interplay between the queer experience and the natural world, Robin's work delves into the intricate relationship between identity, community, and the environment.
